The Board met last Tuesday May 28, 2024. It was attended by Dick Furman, Eric Mack, Melissa Mewhorter, and Jack Mewhorter. Here is a synopsis of the meeting.
Budget - Melissa reviewed the current financial condition. All bills paid up to date.
Utility Box Project - Pat Huckans presented the ideas from the Beautification committee regarding the Utility boxes. Pat suggested that the bushes around the boxes be removed and pea stone be put around the boxes. In addition some annual flowers or bushes be planted. Pat will come back with cost estimates.
Proposal/By Laws - Proposal 6.02 e,f,g to that was approved at the last meeting is to be added to the declaration sections of the current Declarations in the “By Laws”. The amendment to allow for electronic voting was discussed. This amendment will be sent to the members for their review prior to the annual meeting for vote.
Deck Renovations - there are a number of members who have been approved to renovate their decks. Please remember to submit your request if you too are considering replacing your deck.
Annual Meeting Preparation - email to be sent to members prior to the June 19th meeting. It will include the 2024 Actual to Budget statement, people currently running for the Board, the electronic voting amendment, and absentee ballot instructions. Someone on the Board may be helpful in anticipating issues you may not have thought of for the project..
Drainage Project - we are working on a drainage project that is waiting for a vendor estimate.
Alteri Bush Trimming - Email to be sent to members requesting who does not want their bushes be trimmed. This project has been completed as of this email.
HOA Website - Updated By-Laws to be uploaded to the File Share section of the website. Instructions for activating email notifications for new Announcements to be sent to members. This function is not activated by default and requires the member to activate from their profile. It is definitely necessary for future communications.
Special Note - Dawn Andrews resigned her position on the Board in the April meeting. We thank her for her service to the board!
